As I continue with my bedroom makeover, I'm testing out different fabrics to make curtains from...I liked the eyelet, but it didn't win the contest. :)

Getting ready to do an "Extreme Makover" in my bedroom...the dresser is on the list...paint, distressing, and um, I'm sending them on a trip back to the 70's...where they belong.

 However, they did make a nice subject for a photo.    :)

I thought I would be able to post daily while we were out of town, but the internet at our campground was way too slow...so I have to play catch up.

We took a few days away to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fl....

This roller coaster is the biggest rush of fun ever!  It's smooth, doesn't mess with your head and gives you such a thrill when it drops you FACE down from 200 feet...yup, it's a straight down 90 degree drop...wow!!!

I found this coffee table on Craigslist.  I've been looking for a round table for a long time, with a little design element.  It was stained dark cherry and I wanted to do a "white aged table"...here is my finished project.

I liked the natural light and soft shadows that were created at this time of day...

My front porch.  It's chilly enough for the reds to be bright...by mid summer, they will be pale from the heat.  It's warm enough for me to prepare my veggie garden (see the flat full of cabbage plants).  January isn't so bad in Florida. :)

Sunspot

My boxer has adopted this spot on the floor where the sun comes through the window...I think she believes she is a cat. :)

I loved the softness of this photo, and even liked (to an extent the shadows)...but they were too deep and you can't see her adorable face.  A flash washed it out completely and took away "what I saw".  Any suggestions on how to correct this?

I took this photo from my front yard at sunset.  No, there wasn't a fire, but this was the true color in the sky.  I had to adjust the exposure a little bit, as the trees were blending into the night sky.  I use Picnik to make photo adjustments.

The "2" is actually the "Y" in a Joy decoration I have. 
The "0" is ...well, a sand dollar.
A roman numeral clock in my hall bath and a Tinkerbell sticker make up the 1's.
I used the "Lomoish" effect in Picnik, and on 2 of the photos, I added a sepia tone.

365 ~ 1 ~ New Beginnings!

On New Years Day, as we were taking down our outdoor Christmas lights, we came upon this butterfly...his cocoon, freshly opened was attached to a light strand that was strung around our front door.  He had just hatched...what a way to start the new year...beautiful!

After our RV fire this past summer, we are finally taking the time to replace the carpet, yet again....and make new privacy curtains, and new seat covers, and install a new stereo.  The  benefit of this hard work is a cute and fun RV to camp in...woo-hoo! :)

I've been wanting to make some changes to our bedroom, and I was waiting for just the right sale to help me out...today I found a steal on some soft white fabric...the lace I already had tucked away in my craft closet, and it was bleached white after this photo was taken...
