We are back from our trip to the D.C. area to visit our son.  I have a ton of photos that I would love to share, but I'll just pick a few to make it a little less painful for you! :)  We were suppose to have internet at our hotel, but it was 'lost' the first night and didn't come back till the night before we left...sigh.  SO, I must play catch up here...

Butterfly Weed is a lovely plant that many species of butterflies lay their eggs on.  It has such pretty yellow flowers and forms seed pods that dry and pop open.  Once they are open, the little seeds take "wing" and fly in the breeze until they find a place to grow...
