The clear, natural spring gushes water day and night, it's a nippy 73 degrees year round, but perfect for cooling off on a hot Florida day. It slowly makes it's way through a shallow clear creek until it reaches the Wekiva River where it gradually becomes the perfect warm and plant covered habitat for alligators.

The grainery at Mount Vernon is almost completely made up of original pieces that are well over 100 years old. It is run by a water wheel and is fascinating to watch...
Did I mention I was a proud Mom? This is my son with his promotion certificate...he was promoted Below The Zone (early)...he's so smart! Oh, did I mention he was homeschooled? I taught him everything he knows, LOLOL...Um, except for the things he does that make no sense...not that part, just when he does brilliant things...I taught him all that stuff, LOLOLOL... :) Kidding...he's just a brilliant kid all on his own. :)
